​DRICON Fire Retardant Wood Treatment
​Plony Industries is an authorised service provider for LONZA Dricon chemical pressure treatment of wood products. Wood and timber is impregnated with the fire retardant chemical solution under vacuum and high pressure conditions to give the products a long lasting protection. The process is being carried out at our own facility by trained personnel. Plony supplies ready treated fire retardant timber and fire retardant plywood.

Lonza Wood Protection offers tried, tested and trusted industrially applied fire retardants for timber and panel products. Proven fire protection for interior applications without the need for a protective coating. DRICON reduce the surface spread of flame, heat and smoke release during a fire, giving vital extra time for a safe escape. It can impregnate all faces of the timber of board products creating a protection that requires no maintenance. This is a real benefit over site applied and uncontrolled fire-retardant coating products. Meets European Standard EN 13501-1 requirements. Comply to the BS476-6: 1989/A1:2009 and BS 476-7:1997 standards. Fire Retardant Treated Wood provides an additional benefit of termite and decay protection to the wood on top of is fire resistance properties.
