N95 Mask Singapore — NIOSH Certified Respiratory Protection
Plony Industries is an authorised Honeywell distributor supplying NIOSH-certified N95 masks, reusable respirators and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) in Singapore. We maintain ready stock of all respiratory protection products and supply construction firms, shipyards, marine fabricators, manufacturers and industrial facilities across Singapore.

What Is an N95 Mask?
An N95 mask is a NIOSH-certified respiratory protective device designed to filter at least 95% of airborne particles, including dust, fumes, mould spores, smoke particles and biological aerosols. The "N" stands for Not resistant to oil — meaning the mask is rated for non-oil-based airborne particles. The "95" refers to its minimum filtration efficiency of 95% against particles of 0.3 microns or larger.
NIOSH (the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) is the US federal agency responsible for certifying respiratory protective devices. A NIOSH-certified N95 mask has passed rigorous independent testing covering filtration efficiency, breathing resistance, facial fit and durability. In Singapore, NIOSH-certified N95 masks are the accepted standard for industrial respiratory protection under MOM Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations

N95 Masks and Respiratory Protection Products We Supply

Honeywell H801 Plus N95 Face Mask
The Honeywell H801 Plus is a NIOSH-certified cup-shaped N95 disposable respirator designed for comfort and breathability in industrial environments. The cup shape maintains airspace in front of the mouth, reducing heat and moisture build-up during extended wear.
-
NIOSH certified — 95% filter efficiency
-
Aluminum thickened nose clip for secure fit
-
Elastic woven head straps for comfortable wear
-
Polyester nose lining pad reduces discomfort
-
Cup-shaped design — maintains airspace for breathability
-
Suitable for dust, fumes, mist and biological particles

EZ Guard N95 Face Mask
The EZ Guard N95 is a NIOSH-certified disposable particulate respirator with ultrasonic welded construction for durability and a spandex strap system for a secure, comfortable fit. The sponge nose lining pad provides additional comfort during extended use.
-
NIOSH certified — 95% filter efficiency
-
Adjustable aluminum nose clip
-
Ultrasonic welded spandex head straps — durable and comfortable
-
Sponge nose lining pad for added comfort
-
Suitable for construction, industrial and manufacturing environments

Honeywell 5500 Series Half Mask Respirator
The Honeywell 5500 is a reusable half-face respirator for workers with ongoing daily exposure to airborne hazards. Replaceable cartridges allow the respirator to be configured for specific hazards — particulates, organic vapours, acid gases and more — making it more cost-effective than single-use N95 masks for long-term use.
-
Reusable with replaceable N-series cartridges and filters
-
Ergonomic design provides secure fit across face profiles
-
High comfort level — latex free
-
Economical, flexible and durable for daily industrial use
-
Suitable for shipyard, construction, painting and manufacturing

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
SCBA provides an independent supply of breathable air in atmospheres that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) — including confined spaces with toxic gases, oxygen-deficient environments and firefighting situations. All SCBA units are supplied with filled air cylinders, ready to use.
Which Respiratory Protection Do You Need?
How to Correctly Fit an N95 Mask
An N95 mask only provides its rated protection when it is properly fitted to the face. An incorrectly worn N95 — with gaps at the nose, chin or sides — allows unfiltered air to bypass the filter material. Follow these steps for correct fit:
-
Inspect the mask — check for damage, tears or a compromised nose clip before putting on.
-
Position the mask — cup the mask in your hand with the nose clip at your fingertips. Place the mask under your chin with the nose clip at the top.
-
Secure the lower strap — pull the lower strap over your head and position it at the back of your neck, below your ears.
-
Secure the upper strap — pull the upper strap over your head and position it at the top of the back of your head.
-
Mould the nose clip — using both hands, press the nose clip against the bridge of your nose and mould it to the shape of your face.
-
Perform a fit check — place both hands over the mask and exhale sharply. If air leaks around the edges, re-adjust the straps and nose clip until a seal is achieved. A disposable N95 should not be worn if a proper seal cannot be obtained.
Important: N95 masks are single-use disposable respirators. Discard after each use, when the mask becomes visibly soiled, damaged or breathing becomes difficult. Do not share N95 masks between users.

Frequently Asked Questions — N95 Mask Singapore
Q: What is an N95 mask and how does it work?
A: An N95 mask is a NIOSH-certified respirator that filters at least 95% of airborne particles including dust, fumes, mould spores and biological particles. It uses electrostatically charged microfibre filter media to capture particles as small as 0.3 microns. The N95 rating means the mask is effective against non-oil-based airborne particles only.
Q: Where can I buy N95 masks in Singapore?
A: Plony Industries supplies NIOSH-certified N95 masks in Singapore with ready stock — including the Honeywell H801 Plus and EZ Guard N95. We supply to construction firms, shipyards, manufacturers and industrial facilities.
Q: What is the difference between N95 and KN95 masks?
A: N95 masks are certified by NIOSH (USA) and filter at least 95% of non-oil airborne particles. KN95 masks are certified under Chinese standard GB2626 with similar stated filtration, but NIOSH does not certify KN95 masks. For industrial and workplace safety compliance in Singapore, NIOSH-certified N95 masks are the recommended standard.
Q: Are the N95 masks you supply NIOSH certified?
A: Yes. Both N95 masks we supply — the Honeywell H801 Plus and EZ Guard N95 — are NIOSH-certified. They have passed rigorous NIOSH testing for filter efficiency, breathing resistance and secure fit in workplace conditions.
Q: What industries use N95 masks in Singapore?
A: N95 masks are used across construction, shipyard and marine fabrication, timber and woodworking, welding and metalwork, manufacturing, painting, and healthcare sectors in Singapore. They are required under MOM WSH regulations for workers exposed to airborne dust, fumes or biological particles above permissible exposure limits.
Q: What is the difference between a disposable N95 mask and a reusable respirator?
A: A disposable N95 mask is single-use and should be discarded after each shift or when visibly soiled. A reusable half-face respirator (such as the Honeywell 5500) uses replaceable cartridges that can be swapped when saturated, offering more cost-effective protection for workers with daily prolonged exposure. Reusable respirators can also be fitted with cartridges for specific hazards including organic vapours and acid gases.
Q: When should I use an SCBA instead of an N95 mask?
A: SCBA is required when the atmosphere is immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) — including confined spaces with toxic gases, oxygen-deficient areas, or firefighting situations. N95 masks and respirators filter ambient air; they cannot be used where the air itself is too toxic or oxygen-depleted to breathe. SCBA units supply clean breathing air independently from an onboard cylinder.
Q: Does Plony Industries supply SCBA for CERT teams?
A: Yes. We supply the Honeywell T8000 and Fangzhan RHZK-6/30 SCBA — both part of the standard SCDF CERT emergency response equipment kit. All SCBA units are supplied with filled air cylinders, ready to use on delivery.
